Transgender Murders

President Biden’s Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, claims that “26 transgender Americans” “were killed this year” and that “no one should face violence” for “being themselves.”

IN FACT, 26 killings is 0.1% of the 20,000+ people who are murdered per year in the United States. In comparison, 1% of the nation’s adult population claims to be transgender. That means the general U.S. population is about 10 times more likely to be murdered than transgenders.
