Cal Berkeley professor Robert Reich claims meat is “so expensive” because of “corporate price-fixing” and cited the profits of Tyson Foods as alleged evidence of this.

IN FACT, Tyson Foods had a negative net profit margin in 2023Q3 and regularly has much lower profits than big tech companies like Apple. Food is expensive mainly because government devalued the dollar via social spending and money printing, advocated by Reich & Co.
