U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I–VT) claims “there is no freedom without economic security” provided by government programs and that “every American has a right to a secure retirement.”
IN FACT, forcibly redistributing people’s money is the antithesis of freedom. The Soviet Constitution had a “right” to “medical” care and “maintenance in old age,” while the U.S. Constitution recognizes inalienable rights like “life” and “liberty.”
