New York Governor Kathy Hochul claims that the U.S. Supreme Court is “out of kilter” because “they are literally living in the 1700s.”

IN FACT, Hochul swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, which was mainly written in the 1700s. A primary duty of the Supreme Court is to provide a check against politicians who violate that oath and trample the rights of citizens who didn’t vote for them.

George Washington forewarned of Hochul’s agenda in his Farewell Address by stating:

“If in the opinion of the People the distribution or modification of the Constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”
