U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren claims that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the “Chevron doctrine” is a “a power grab by the far-right to benefit the wealthy and well-connected.”
IN FACT, the Supreme Court’s decision restricts power-grabbing presidents from exploiting ambiguous laws to act as dictators. Contra Warren, the Constitution requires a separation of powers in which Congress makes the laws, the President enforces the laws, and Courts interpret the laws.
