California Governor Gavin Newsom and Bill Nye the “Science Guy” claim that the “promotion of science is actually in the US Constitution.”
IN FACT, the clause that Newsom and Nye tout only applies to patent and copyright laws. Progressives often twist this section of the Constitution to create social welfare programs, a sham that James Madison, the father of the Constitution, called “an absurdity.”
